Cape Town woman recounts alleged trafficking linked to Jeffrey Epstein

A woman from Cape Town has spoken publicly about her alleged experiences involving the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, following the recent release of millions of documents by the US Department of Justice related to his case.

Juliette Bryant told Sky News that she was 20 years old in 2002 when she was approached with what she believed were modelling opportunities connected to Epstein. At the time, she was a first-year university student and part-time model. She said she travelled to New York before being flown to Little Saint James in the Caribbean, an island owned by Epstein that has been linked to allegations of sexual abuse and trafficking.

Bryant alleged that she was sexually assaulted and later encountered other young women from several countries. She said she declined an offer to recruit additional girls. Newly released documents indicate that she remained in contact with Epstein until 2017.

In a separate radio interview, Bryant said she had previously seen Epstein dining in Cape Town alongside several prominent figures, including former US President Bill Clinton and actors Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker. Clinton has denied knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities. Spacey has previously faced allegations of sexual misconduct, which he has denied.

Bryant also stated that she attended an audition in Cape Town before travelling abroad and later concluded that she had been misled about potential modelling work. In interviews with US media, she said it took years to fully understand what had happened to her.

Epstein died in custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His associate Ghislaine Maxwell was later convicted in connection with related offences.
